Research: My research is in the area of computer vision with application to animation, human-computer interaction and scene monitoring. I am particularly interested in devising techniques for learning and then recognising the shapes and behaviours of objects within a scene. We have developed ways for building probabilistic models of shape and behaviour from observing scenes over long periods of time. These models have been used for animation, for synthesising interactive agents, and for detecting atypical events in traffic and pedestrian scenes.
