I am experimental psychologist by background and training, and I am currently a Professor of Comparative Psychology in the Department of Experimental Psychology at the University of Cambridge. I have two main research interests:

  1. The cognitive and motivational processes underlying the instrumental, goal-directed action.
  2. Animal memory with special reference to the issue of whether animals are capable of episodic-like memory and the nature of the representations underlying such memory.
